Cardamom Black Restaurant in Harrogate is hosting its annual chilli-eating competition to find Yorkshire’s chilli-eating champion and offering a cool trip to Iceland for the winner.
Nick Rahman, owner of Cardamom Black Pan South Asian restaurant, is inviting anyone who thinks they can take on the challenge and the champion will get to chill out in Iceland with a fantastic prize of a three-night stay for two people to see the amazing Northern Lights, sponsored by RTC Travel.
The chilli-eating competition will be held at Cardamom Black Restaurant on Cheltenham Parade starting 7.00pm on Wednesday 12th October 2016, during National Curry Week. People are invited to come along and watch the scorching chilli chompers as the restaurant will be open as normal.
Nick Rahman, said:
We wanted to do something different to mark National Curry Week, so naturally a chilli-eating competition seemed like a good idea as all of our customers obviously like hot and spicy food.
Gordon Rozario, Director of RTC travel said:
We sponsored the chilli-eating competition because we thought we would test the limits of how much heat the contestants can handle. And where better to chill out and cool down afterwards than Iceland while gazing at the amazing Northern Lights.
The prize is for two people and includes flights from Manchester for an unforgettable Northern Lights experience in the uniquely beautiful country of Iceland. The Northern Lights is one of the world’s most spectacular natural phenomena. Included in this amazing holiday are return flights departing 28th November 2016 from Manchester to Iceland, three nights at a three-star hotel including breakfast and a guided night-time excursion where you will have a chance to see the mesmerizing dance of colourful lights across the sky with a local guide.
